Peter is passionate about food culture and experiential storytelling.

  • BRICK-AND-MORTAR: He created the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD), which reached over half a million people with its taste-forward exhibits and programs. MOFAD drew attention for its unique, immersive dining events and innovative content, including VR video.

  • DIGITAL: As Head of Creators at Pinterest, he oversaw a team that managed lifestyle content for over 450 million users worldwide, generating over 15 billion impressions per year.

  • AUDIO: He was the host and creator of Counterjam, a podcast distributed across Food52’s network of 24 million readers. Featuring Ziggy Marley, Shaggy, Kelis, Ilana Glazer, among other celebrities, it reached the position of third-most-downloaded food podcast in the US.

  • WRITTEN: He is the author of Instant Ramen Kitchen, a cookbook to be published by Chronicle Books in September 2025.

He has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR, CBS, NBC, and The Wall Street Journal, and has been invited for public speaking and television appearances around the country. He has served as a member of the African Cuisines Advisory Council of the Culinary Institute of America and the BIPOC Scholarship Committee of the Association for the Study of Food and Society.

Peter holds degrees from Brown (BA), the University of Pennsylvania (JD), Sciences Po (MA), and the Sorbonne in Paris (MA), as a well as a certificate from the French Culinary Institute.
